World IVF Day is celebrated 27th of July every year. On this day in 1978, Louise Brown became the first baby born using the IVF technique. From that day onwards, this date is considered World IVF Day.
As we also remember the historic work done by Robert Edwards and Patrick Steptoe, who paved the way for the birth of Louise Brown And although Louise will forever be the first, there are now 8+ million IVF babies around the world; IVF is today a fundamental treatment for infertile couples.
